KLTY’s Frank Reed to Host “Keep The Faith Dallas-Ft. Worth”

Iconic radio host Frank Reed, KLTY personality for over three decades, will retire from the station’s morning show at the end of this month, but will remain on America’s leading commercial Christian radio station as host of the new “KeepTheFaith Dallas-Fort Worth” beginning Sunday, January 1. Reed will host a special edition of “KeepTheFaith,” America’s top-rated syndicated faith-based franchise, specifically designed for the Dallas-Fort Worth metro. The show will air Sunday mornings from 6 a.m. to noon. It will also lead-in to KLTY’s weekday morning drive program from 5 to 6 a.m.

“I am delighted to enter this new chapter of life,” says Reed. “I get to continue serving the people of Dallas-Ft. Worth by telling stories of hope and encouragement on the greatest radio station in America. I guess ‘retirement’ looks different than I originally thought. God is full of surprises! I am honored and excited to join the team at ‘KeepTheFaith.’ KLTY is my home and will always be.”
According to Mike Prendergast, KLTY Program Director, “Frank is a long-time staple of KLTY and one of the market’s favorite, most-respected on-air personalities. By combining his voice and influence with the rich story-driven content provided by the producers of ‘KeepTheFaith,’ we believe that we will deliver an incredibly engaging listening experience for our audience that separates us from all others in the nation’s 5th largest radio market.”
Jeff Mitchell, KLTY General Manager, states, “We’ve seen the tremendous success ‘KeepTheFaith’ has had across the nation, especially on the Salem owned-and-operated stations. In many cases the program is #1 on Sunday mornings. It has also proven to be an incredible lead-in to morning drive in major markets across America. Showcasing Frank during these highly visible hours brings tremendous value to our station and the advertisers that have been a part of Frank’s journey here at KLTY for decades.”
David Sams, CEO of KeepTheFaith Radio, credits Mitchell, Prendergast and Reed for “thinking outside the box,” stating, “When Frank made himself available to step in as substitute co-host of the nationally syndicated version of ‘KeepTheFaith’ earlier this year, the light bulb went off. Frank saw the value in the exclusive, highly produced story content that our team delivers and Mike and Jeff saw the value of keeping Frank’s presence on the air. As for us, these additional hours on one of America’s highest-rated radio stations will bring our advertiser clients even greater value.” “KeepTheFaith” is represented by Salem Media Reps.
The nationally syndicated version of “KeepTheFaith” with Keith Stevens and Donna Cruz will continue to air on KLTY on Saturday nights. The show is syndicated from coast-to-coast including 19 of the top 20 markets. “KeepTheFaith” provides approximately 150,000 cumulative hours of inspiring content to both Christian and Country radio stations in the U.S. and Canada on an annual basis. The “KeepTheFaith” content library includes some 40,000 highly produced audio content pieces, specifically designed to bring listeners hope, encouragement and tools to live their very best lives.
Reed joined KLTY in 1991 and after stints at “96X” WMJX Miami, “CLASS 105.9″ WOCL Orlando and at “660 WNBC” New York in middays between Don Imus and Howard Stern. He would then move to Christian radio with a stint at WWDJ Hackensack, NJ before joining KLTY.
